A Healthy Mask…

You Are What You Eat Masks

Things you will need:

  • Plain, paper mask (download here)
  • Fruit & Veggie color printable (download here)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Ribbon, string or stretchy ribbon to tie mask
  • Scotch Tape

What to do:

  1. First, download the veggie and fruit printable. Print it out on your color printer. If you don’t have a color printer, you can always look through magazines for nice pictures of fruits and vegetables.
  2. Cut out all the vegetables, fruits and berries. Make sure you know what they are!
  3. Next, download the basic, plain mask. Print it out on heavy, white or colored paper.
  4. Punch a hole on each side of the mask for the ties that will go around your head. It is a good idea to reinforce the holes so that they will not tear.
  5. Thread a piece of ribbon or string through each hole. Use these ribbons to tie the mask around your head.
  6. Glue the fuits and veggies on the mask.
  7. Can you identify the fuits and veggies? Find the banana, green beans, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberry, peas, broccoli, celery, watermelon, cauliflower, carrot, tomato, nuts, pear and cherries. Did we miss anything?
  8. Draw more on some plain paper. Color them and add them to you mask.
  9. See how many of the fruits and veggies you can eat this week.
  10. Have fun!
