A Garden

Is a Busy Place!

Sit really still, WATCH and LISTEN

Do you hear the buzzing of a bee, see the fluttering wings of a butterfly, how about the hmmmm...from a hummingbirds' wings?

These pollinating animals are essential to the health of our natural ecosystems.  Garden pollinators include Bats, Bees, Wasps, Beetles, Birds, Butterflies, Flies, and Moths which are all needed for the reproduction of 90% of all flowering plants and one third of human food crops!

In the picture on the right, a hummingbird sips nectar from a flower of a the Bleeding Heart plant.

Colors, textures, shapes...this garden's buzzing! Bees and bumbles love wildflowers, especially California Poppy! Water, nectar, shape, and color...attractive to bees, butterflies, and birds! Milkweed, nectar for all pollinators, and larval food for monarch butterflies!
